Colour Run

Great weather greeted us on Monday morning for the Colour Run. Some slight changes to last year’s course made the event even more enjoyable. As expected, our students enthusiastically participated in the run and were well supported by a large group of parents. I get a little concerned by the fun my teachers have spraying the students and their colleagues with the colour.

District Cross Country (Mr Davey)

Last Friday was the District Cross Country day. We took the top 10 boys and girls from Year 4 – 6 (with a few Year 3s too) to compete. Our students had trained hard since last term and their determination could not be questioned. The 10 Year old race was 2km and the 11 and 12 year old races were 3km, a great effort to even finish a race of this distance! Congratulations to the following students who will compete at the Knox Division finals on June 4th. Tyler C (1st place), Jaiden W (12th place), Kodie D (11th place) Luca I (11th place), Nathan H (4th place), Kalani C (12th place). Overall we finished 6th.

Mothers’ Day Stall

Again, this year, our PCA conducted a great Mothers’ Day stall with heaps of gifts for students to purchase. Thank you to all of our parent helpers for giving up their time to set up and sell those prized Mothers’ Day gifts. A special thank you must go to Felicity and Kellie for giving up their time to purchase items and set up for the busy day. To all of our mothers in our school community, I hope that they have a happy and spoilt Mothers’ Day and enjoy the gift that their child has bought. Although, we should appreciate our mothers every day, Mothers’ Day is a great opportunity to thank them for all of the work that they do to make our lives so rich.
