Park Ridge Primary has applied for a “Pick my Project” grant to fund the redevelopment of a playground that is inclusive and inviting for all students.  Creating an inclusive playground will strengthen our school community and benefit ALL children. This process is fundamental in changing the way a school community supports and addresses the individual needs of each child. Respect and understanding grow when students of diverse abilities and backgrounds play, socialise, and learn together.

This grant is all about VOTES so we need help to get parents, neighbours (and friends and family and anyone else you can think of) to register and vote for us. The proposed playground will not just benefit the 632 students who attend PRPS, but also the members of the local community who play in the grounds after school, on weekends and during school holidays.

Voting is open now and closes the 17th September.
Steps to vote:

1. Register for an account at https://pickmyproject.vic.gov.au/ using your email address, Facebook or Gmail account.

2. Select your area – type ‘Rowville’ into the search bar. You should then get a list of 30 local projects.  (The specific project is attached below.)

3. Shortlist ‘Everybody needs to be included’ and choose two more in the area to vote for, then verify using a mobile phone number.

4. That’s it! A minute (or two) of your time and your vote counts ??
Please SHARE this and encourage your friends to GET VOTING! While it does take a minute of your time to register and vote, this will give an opportunity for ALL of our students to be inclusive and included.

Thank you in advance,
Park Ridge Primary School
